23andme gave me some pretty interesting DNA ancestry results. I found some genetically related 4th cousins that proved my Simpson line. I also found that I had an native American ancestor and an African ancestor 7 or 8 generations back, quite possibly one of my Simpson ancestors in Delaware and/or one of my Hethcot ancestors in North Carolina.
My Hungarian side of the family turned out to be very mixed as well: likely some German, Italian, and Balkan ancestry, as well as Magyar. It makes sense, since Hungary was part of the Austrian Empire for so long.
